神差遣使者去滅耶路撒冷，剛要滅的時候，耶和華看見後悔，就不降這災了，吩咐滅城的天使說：「夠了，住手吧！」那時，耶和華的使者站在耶布斯人阿珥楠的禾場那裏。 15 And God sent an angel to destroy Jerusalem. But as the angel was doing so, the LORD saw it and was grieved because of the calamity and said to the angel who was destroying the people, 「Enough! Withdraw your hand.」 The angel of the LORD was then standing at the threshing floor of Araunah 21:15 Hebrew （（Ornan,）） a variant of （（Araunah））; also in verses 18-28 the Jebusite.

大衛舉目，看見耶和華的使者站在天地間，手裏有拔出來的刀，伸在耶路撒冷以上。大衛和長老都身穿麻衣，面伏於地。 16 David looked up and saw the angel of the LORD standing between heaven and earth, with a drawn sword in his hand extended over Jerusalem. Then David and the elders, clothed in sackcloth, fell facedown.
